About
Us Tonja Treece was an ICU R.N. in Denver, CO. In the summer of 2005, Tonja became a vineyard owner in the West Elk Approved Wine Area of Delta County, Colorado and began a new phase of her life. She has enjoyed cross-stitching for over 17 years, having first learned at the age of 12 from her grandfather, an M.D. who learned to sew to help him hold a needle steady during surgery. (that's the story and he's sticking to it!) She has also been quilting for 9 years, after being talked into a quilting class by a friend who decided she couldn't go. (needless to say, Tonja has been trying to corner her to teach her for a few years now...) Tonja decided that she would try her hand at designing a few things about two years ago, and thought that they looked pretty good, and maybe other people would like the designs also. Thus, Pinoak Designs was born.
Jim Bruce is Tonja's dad, he works at the National Center for Genetic Resources Preservation in Ft.Collins. He makes websites, grows, and researches grapes in his spare time. He has his own websites www.ristcanyonvineyards.com and www.ristvinmarketing.com. He also gives valuable input into ideas for quilting and cross-stitching designs, and works on the Pinoak website. |
